Desperate fear grips Oluchi’s village as the Nigerian Civil War intensifies. On the brink of an attack, a terrible choice looms: seek a common solution or face death alone. As the villagers march forward with a desperate plea for peace, young Oluchi witnesses a tragedy that will forever echo the pain and loss of October 7, 1967.
About Juliana
Juliana Nwazodoni is a writer whose work draws inspiration from personal experiences, the everyday struggles of life, and the collective sociopolitical landscape. Her writing spans short stories, essays, poems, and articles, and has been featured in several publications like The Mexodus, Voyage of Discovery, and Ayanfe, with more placements forthcoming.
A graduate with First Class Honours from the Department of English at Ambrose Alli University, Edo State, she maintains a strong digital presence as a writer. Her debut poetry collection, “A Girl’s Body Is A Story,” was published in 2022.
